The Weiss Building, originally constructed in the late 1980s for a fish canning company, has undergone several transformations over the years. After its initial use, it served various warehouse and shipping needs until it was acquired by Weiss McTaggart, LLC in 2013. Recognizing the building’s potential, Weiss McTaggart enlisted Coast Construction Group to perform a comprehensive renovation, aimed at modernizing and improving the facility to better serve future tenants and their diverse requirements.

Coast Construction Group undertook a series of significant upgrades to revitalize the Weiss Building. The renovation project included both exterior and interior painting to refresh the building’s appearance and protect it from the elements. Additionally, the building envelope was insulated to enhance energy efficiency, providing better temperature control and reducing operating costs. Door repairs and the installation of ten new loading docks were carried out to facilitate smoother logistics operations and improve access to shipping and receiving activities.

The renovation also featured critical infrastructure upgrades. Coast performed an electrical upgrade to meet the demands of modern commercial operations and ensure safety compliance. New water and sewer lines were installed, laying the groundwork for future bathroom facilities and accommodating the needs of prospective tenants. This comprehensive renovation has transformed the Weiss Building into a versatile and efficient commercial space, ready to meet the needs of a variety of businesses.
