Sunset Beach Park, a 0.25-acre waterfront pocket park, offers expansive views of Lake Stevens and provides various leisure activities such as lake access, picnicking, and sunbathing. In August 2021, the park was transferred to the City from Snohomish County. Following an initial site assessment, the City hired a consultant to develop a draft design addressing safety repairs to the dock, shoreline erosion, parking issues, and overall accessibility.

In June 2023, the City Council awarded Coast Construction Group the contract for the park’s renovation. Starting in early July, Coast Construction undertook a comprehensive renovation project scheduled for 50 working days. Our team focused on key improvements, including landscaping, installing permanent restroom facilities, shade structures, furniture, garbage receptacles, and creating leisure areas.

The project, completed by November 2023, transformed Sunset Beach Park into a more inviting, accessible space. With enhanced beach access, public parking, a fishing/swimming dock, a portable restroom, picnic tables, and a designated swimming area, the park now better serves the community’s needs.
