Criminal Justice Training Center | Arlington

Coast Construction Group delivered the 27,211-square-foot tenant improvement that became the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission’s Northwest Regional Academy in Arlington — the state’s third law enforcement training campus, and the first to bring basic academy training closer to officers across Snohomish, Skagit, Whatcom, Island, and San Juan counties. The build-out transformed existing space into purpose-built training environments, anchored by a dedicated defensive-tactics mat room, a weight-training facility, and a set of modern instructional classrooms.

Beyond the core training spaces, Coast built out the infrastructure to support the academy’s integrated security systems and created flexible areas — indoors and across the site, including the parking lot — that the Commission now uses to stage real-world training scenarios. The result is a regional academy that gives recruits and incumbent officers a hands-on home for scenario-based training, without the drive to Burien.
