Logistics
Project Size
70 Acres
Sitting on a vast 70-acre plot, the R+L Carriers facility in Talmo represents a monumental investment in Less Than Truckload (LTL) shipping infrastructure, designed to enhance the company’s leadership in national and cross-border logistics. Construction began with the movement of over a million tons of dirt to shape the site, culminating in the approximately 300,000-square-foot terminal building featuring a 326 bay door dock tailored to handle LTL shipments. Paired with a 7,500-square-foot office space, the terminal is supported by 1.8 million square feet of concrete paving—or approximetly 50,000 yards of concrete—ensuring the facility can manage the intense operational and logistical standards R+L has.
The project also includes a 23,000-square-foot maintenance building with 12 doors and a full drive-through truck wash, alongside a five-lane fuel station equipped with a 105,000-gallon storage capacity, all designed to maximize efficiency and performance for operation. An electric security fence surrounds the entire 70 acres, safeguarding the site and reinforcing the security critical to R+L Carriers’ reputation. As a leader in LTL shipping and logistics with coverage extending across the entire U.S.—including Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico—and unmatched expertise in cross-border shipping to Canada and Mexico, R+L Carriers has tasked Coast Construction Group with this large development to elevate their capabilities, reduce costs, and strengthen their presence in the LTL market.
